A crawlable 3D website is a 3D site whose content search engines can read without running the 3D scene. Each page ships real HTML: a title, headings, paragraphs and links. The 3D view loads on top for people, while crawlers and AI assistants read the HTML underneath.

Crawlable vs. canvas-only 3D sites

A canvas-only 3D site shows a crawler a blank page. A crawlable one shows the whole page: every word a visitor can read in 3D is also in the HTML at the same URL.

How do I check if my 3D site is crawlable?

Open the page and view its source. If you can find your headings and body text there, a crawler can too. In Google Search Console, URL Inspection shows exactly what Googlebot sees.
