Choose the Claude model that fits the job, decide whether the Assistant can see your viewport, and understand what each turn costs.

In Settings ▸ AI Assistant you choose the model and whether the Assistant can see your scene.
Choosing a model
| Model | Best for |
|---|---|
| Sonnet 4.6 (default) | The balanced pick: smart enough for almost everything, cheap enough for all-day use. |
| Opus 4.8 | The smartest, for tricky multi-step builds and ambiguous requests. Pricier. |
| Haiku 4.5 | The fastest and cheapest, for simple, high-volume edits. |
There's no effort or "thinking" slider to fuss with. 3dCMS sets a sensible reasoning level per model automatically.
Viewport vision
Let the Assistant see the viewport is on by default. Each turn it sends a downscaled snapshot so Claude can see what you see and self-correct. You can toggle it in Settings or right in the Assistant header. Turning it off saves a sliver of cost but means the Assistant is working blind. Keep it on unless you have a reason not to.
