The Assistant changes your scene through a validated batch of operations. In plain terms, it can:

It can…Example
Add objects"add three pedestals in a ring"
Move / rotate / scale"move it up 2 meters" · "spread these out"
Recolor & set materials"make the sphere glass" · "make it matte red"
Duplicate"give me five copies in a row, 2 m apart"
Group & reparent"group everything and name it Stage"
Delete"remove the extra cubes"

Prompts to try

"make a hexagon" "build a pyramid of 42 cubes" "add a row of five 1-meter cubes 2 m apart" "make the selected object glass" "group everything and name it Stage"

It works on your selection

Vague prompts like "make it red" or "move it up" act on whatever you currently have selected — the selection is the implicit subject. So select a thing, then talk about "it."

It can see your scene

With viewport vision on (the default), the Assistant gets a small snapshot of your viewport each turn, so it can judge colors, proportions, and spacing — and after it makes a change, it looks again to check its work and fix anything that came out wrong. That's why "make them evenly spaced" or "center it" actually land. More on the vision toggle in Models, vision & cost.

Talk to it like a collaborator You don't need exact coordinates. Describe the intent — "arrange these like a solar system," "tighten up the spacing," "make the back ones smaller" — and let it work out the numbers. If it's not quite right, just say what to change.
