Visitor reactions

A friction-free ❤️ 👏 🔥 tally lets visitors react to a published scene: social proof for you, a dopamine tap for them.

The interactive version has full-text search, a table of contents, and light/dark themes.

Published scenes carry a small reaction bar (❤️ 👏 🔥) with the rest of the visitor's controls: in the header on desktop, and inside the Menu pill on phones. A visitor taps an emoji and the count bumps instantly; it's a zero-friction way to leave a mark, and it gives you a bit of live social proof.

If you'd rather it sat out in the open, Settings ▸ Visitor Chrome ▸ Reactions switches it to On the scene, the original floating bar, anchored at the bottom of the view. Same buttons either way; only where they live changes. It's a per-scene choice, so one site can keep the canvas clean and another can put the reactions front and centre.

It's deliberately lightweight and anonymous:

  • No login to react. Anyone can tap.
  • One of each per visitor per day. A visitor can leave each emoji once a day, so the tally can't be spammed. Only aggregate per-emoji counts are stored. No raw identity.
  • Published visits only. The bar never appears in an embedded scene or your own editor preview.
"One per visitor" now means one per person It used to mean one per IP address, which behind mobile carriers, campuses and offices is thousands of people sharing one address. A stranger would arrive to find the heart already pressed, captioned "You reacted" and disabled, for a reaction someone they'd never met had left. Each browser now brings its own random token (kept locally, stored only as a salted hash that clears at midnight), so the tally follows people rather than networks. The address keeps one job: a ceiling of 25 reactions a day, which no household reaches and which makes cycling tokens pointless. A visitor whose browser can't keep the token is no worse off than before.

Turning it off

Reactions are on by default. If you'd rather not show them, each site row on your Account page has a Show reactions toggle: flip it off and the bar disappears for that site.
