Performance
The live performance HUD
An opt-in overlay that shows real frames-per-second and renderer stats as you work or as a visitor explores.
Open in the interactive manual →The interactive version has full-text search, a table of contents, and light/dark themes.
For ground truth, turn on the live performance HUD. Enable "Show hardware badge" in Settings ▸ Accessibility and a small overlay shows live fps plus draws, triangles, geometries, and textures, sampled a few times a second. The fps number is color-coded — green is smooth, amber is getting tight, red means trouble.
When the badge is off, it adds zero overhead — nothing mounts. There's also a separate Scene stats overlay (Viewport menu) for a quick triangle/draw count while you model.
Test where it matters
The most honest performance test is the live HUD on the lowest-end device you care about — usually a phone. If the fps stays green there, it'll be smooth everywhere.
