Spatial audio

Two layers of positional sound: automatic ambient tones for every page, and looping audio clips you anchor anywhere in the scene.

3dCMS scenes can sound as good as they look. Audio is positional (HRTF) — it pans and fades with the camera, so a sound to your left really feels to your left. There are two layers.

Layer 1 — ambient tones (automatic)

Every page surface quietly emits a soft positional tone, with no setup. Its pitch comes from the page's Accent Color (hue maps to a note), so a multi-page site has a gentle, coherent chord-bed as you move through it. Want a different note for a page? Change its accent color.

Layer 2 — audio clips (you choose)

Any node can carry one looping, spatially-anchored clip. In that node's Properties, open the Audio Clip section:

FieldDoes
Audio URLA direct link to an audio file (or upload one via the Asset Library and attach it to a page).
LabelA friendly name.
Volume0–1.
LoopLoop the clip (on by default).

The clip plays from the node's position in 3D space, fading with distance. Neat detail: all clips in a scene start in sync, like stems of one track — so layered loops stay musically aligned.

Audio respects the mute button Visitors control audio with a mute toggle in the consumer view. If a scene starts muted, no audio loads at all until they unmute — so a muted visit costs nothing. Browsers also require a tap before any sound plays, which 3dCMS handles for you.
