| Action | Shortcut |
|---|---|
| Undo | Ctrl+Z |
| Redo | Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z |
The viewport History HUD has matching ↶ and ↷ buttons, and so does the History menu.
Jump to any point
Click the ● history dot in the viewport HUD to open the History list: every recent step, with timestamps. Click any entry to jump straight there, forward or backward. It's a time machine, not just a one-step-at-a-time undo, so you can scrub back to "before I broke it," look around, and scrub forward again.
Smart batching
Related changes collapse into a single step so undo always does what you expect:
- A gizmo drag is one step, no matter how far you dragged.
- A burst of typing in a number field is one step.
- Typing prose is one step too. Rewriting a headline, a link label or URL, an image caption, a video source, or an object's name records a single entry when you leave the field, not one per keystroke. And while your cursor is inside a text box, Ctrl+Z belongs to the box: it undoes your typing letter-group by letter-group the way any text field does, and only steps back through the scene once you click away.
- A whole Assistant edit (even "add 42 cubes") is one step.
